Summarize is a summarize skill for Claude, OpenClaw, and other AI agents that need to turn long content into clear briefings without leaving the agent workspace. Install it in MyClaw, then ask your hosted OpenClaw instance to summarize URLs, PDFs, images, audio files, or YouTube videos using the AI model you prefer. It is useful as a summarize agent skill for research triage, meeting and media review, documentation digestion, and automated content pipelines where the next step depends on a clean summary.

Open your MyClaw-hosted OpenClaw workspace and tell the agent what source to summarize. Paste a URL, provide a file path, attach a PDF or media file, or share a YouTube link. Include the target format, such as short bullets, an executive brief, action items, risks, or JSON.
Review the summary, then ask the agent to continue inside MyClaw: compare sources, draft an email, create a research memo, extract decisions, build a table, save notes, or rerun the summarize skill with a different length or model.
Point the skill at a web URL, local PDF, image, audio file, or YouTube link and get a concise summary back in the same agent session. This makes it easier to brief yourself on articles, reports, recordings, tutorials, and research sources without switching apps.
Install Summarize in MyClaw and let OpenClaw run it from the hosted VM. The agent can choose the source, execute the command, read the result, and continue with follow-up tasks such as extracting action items, drafting a reply, or building a research memo.
The same summarize skill fits Claude-style command workflows. Claude can ask for a short, medium, long, or extra-long summary, compare the output with your goal, and request a more structured version when you need bullets, decisions, risks, or next steps.
Use OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, or Google Gemini by configuring the relevant API key and model. This keeps the summarization workflow flexible when you want to balance speed, cost, context length, or provider preference.
Run the skill with structured output when summaries need to feed another step. JSON summaries are easier for an agent to route into reports, dashboards, newsletters, knowledge bases, or scheduled briefing pipelines.
Optional Firecrawl and Apify integrations help with websites that block ordinary scraping and YouTube transcript extraction that needs a fallback. Configure those keys when you want broader coverage for recurring summarization workflows.
Give OpenClaw a paper, PDF report, arXiv link, product documentation page, or long article. The agent can summarize the source first, then help decide whether to read, cite, compare, or archive it.
Ask the agent to summarize a YouTube video, podcast clip, interview, or audio file. Use the output as a quick recap, meeting prep note, content brief, or list of follow-up questions.
Combine Summarize with MyClaw automation to process a queue of URLs or files, return JSON summaries, and turn the result into a newsletter draft, Slack update, CRM note, or internal research digest.
Before an agent writes code, drafts support answers, or plans a workflow, use Summarize to condense long documentation into the key constraints, commands, examples, and warnings that matter for the next task.
Requires at least one LLM API key for the provider you want to use: OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, or Google Gemini. Firecrawl is optional for fallback web extraction, and Apify is optional for YouTube transcript fallback. In MyClaw, install the skill into an OpenClaw instance before asking the agent to summarize a source.
